Ask Kyra Sensei...

The weekly edition of 'what's in the Post Box?'

A selection of questions from Matsushiro students:

What do you think of terrorism?

Do you like injections?

Have you ever seen real David Beckham?

Which do you like fish or meat?

I don't mind these questions...it's when I get put on the spot by the teacher, in the class, in front of 40 students that I feel a bit uncomfortable.
In the lesson yesterday I gave a presentation to the students about Scotland....I even played Scotland The Brave and a poem recited in a Scottish accent to them....I thought I had done quite well but the teacher obviously thought I hadn't provided enough cultural information - these were the questions she put to me in front of the class:
Please explain to the students the relationship between India and UK.
How old is Glasgow Cathedral?
What is the entrance fee?
What is Irn Bru made from?
How far is it from Glasgow to Orkney Island?
Who lives in Edinburgh Castle?

Now I don't disagree that these are good questions but I don't know the answers....by the end of my presentation I felt so stupid...the kids must think I am stupid....Ok so I am not the brightest spark in the box....but come on...I'm a Business graduate!
