The lovely Ali surprised me with an almost lovlier pair of mittens sent from England today.....and the timing could not have been better - as my Aussie mate Bel, keeps enthusing (having never seen snow before) its snowing in Nagano!!!!
The tops of the mountains are now white and the temperature is rapidly decreasing. The only way I could get to sleep last night was by drinking 5 Kahlua coffees and then listening to a story on BBC Radio 7 to send me asleep.....I needed a distraction from the fact that my hands and feet felt like ice cubes, and, being scared of working out how my kerosene heater works, this was the next best thing I could come up with!!!

you look really good, so good that i showed Brendan (the best plasterer in the world and could smooth out my bumps any day - oh to be 20 years younger) your blog page and shared lots of photographs with him. he said lots of pretty girls in japan!!
