Kiren and I headed to
Iizna for the first run of the season there. It turned out that the day pass was only 500yen because it was fully open so was a cheap day out. The first few runs there was 5 people on the mountain and me and
Kiren were 2 of them...it would have been brill if the whole slope wasn't pure powder. I know for some people this is good but we were just ploughing through it and getting stuck as opposed to surfing it! It did get busier though and as a result it became more packed as the day went on.
We decided to call it a day just as a storm hit....after getting the car out of the snow,
Kiren had the challenge of driving back through a white out with me saying 'stop the car stop the car
don't move!' most of the way down!
We made it back to
Nagano which had become completely snow covered in the 6 hours we were away!
That night we went to watch Nicks ice hockey team play in the finals at M Wave. His team won and we got to see Nick being quite aggressive!!!
