The time has come....

...to leave the mountains.
In June I will be leaving behind the mountains of Nagano and heading to Tokyo to pick up where I left off with my career in London. Unfortunately this has meant my early departure from my current teaching position. Whilst I expected to get a bit of backlash from my school, when it finally came it wasn't a particuallrly nice experience - and this is only the start of it.
Being called selfish, accused of using the school PC to find a job (NOT TRUE!), having my resignation refused (whatever that means), and refusing to get my tax return forms.
Anyway, c'est la vie.
Last week was Golden Week in Japan which means only 2 working days. I spent the rest of the week cycling to Kawanakajima with Kat, playing mallet golf in Iizna with Kiren and Nick, cycling to Oasis Obuse to relax in the park.......and my latest hobby....learning to longboard!
Today I am at my visit school which is a breath of fresh air - no negative vibes or tense working environment. I made the most of the nice weather and cycled here today which is just over an hour from my appartment.
I will miss the country side when I move to Tokyo but I am sooooo looking forward to having something that resembles a life back, in the form of going out, live music, club nights and team sports.
