10th August

I arranged to go to Mikis house in Komoro for dinner after school. I took the bullet train there from Nagano and was there in 20 minutes....Impressive!
Miki had invited her husbands clients for dinner too - an English lady who has lived in Tokyo for 20 years and her daughter and daughters boyfriend.
It was really nice to have Dinner and chat with everyone and felt really homely. Miki made sushi which looked amazing but as I hadn't been feeling well I wasn't really in the mood for raw fish (one of those days when what you really want is Heinz Baked Beans on thick brown toast....neither of which are available in Japan) but it was delicious.
Mikis house is really nice and is a 'real house' as opposed to me two room apartment.

She also has an adorable poodle and funny little cats.
Mikis husband and Chris managed to polish off a rather large bottle of sake.....the girls were enjoying the wine too!
