During our lunch break today Jay and I cycled around the city so that he could show me all of the important things like good music shop (where I was able to buy The Raconteurs!), sports shops, nice coffee shops, clothes shops, international centre etc....!
After school I met my Japanese friend Miki in Nagano for dinner. It was so nice to see her again. I met her when I visited Helen in Japan 3 years ago and she was kind to me and took me to the onsen! After dinner I went to the cinema to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2....The cinema in Japan is pretty similar but - the seats are massive, you get a cosy blanket, they serve beer but no sweets or ice cream though. At the end of the film everyone stays until the credits have finished...I waited in anticipation to see what they would do - I could imagine some kind of ceremony taking place to mark the end of the film.....oh how they love having ceremonies! A few claps though and that was it!!!
