Friday 17th Only on Mondays...!

The first day back to school after Obon and finding it difficult to get back into the swing of work! I spent the morning preparing a class about my hometown and then Suzuki Sensei took me to Matshiru High School where I will work every Thursday. I met the English teachers and discussed what we would cover in the first lessons. The level of English is lower at this school but that means I get to play more games and do more interaction based exercises.
When discussing England an English teacher asked me if we have fish and chips every day for dinner. I told her "no only on Monday nights and Chinese on Fridays!" She thought this was really interesting! So I volunteered to make tablet (Scottish fudge) for our first lesson as it is based on food....and I couldn`t make fish and chips because it would be a Thursday!!!

Kat, Madz and Jo (CIR from Cornwall) came round to my apartment for dinner and to stay over as we had an early start the next day. I cooked chicken and veggie kebabs, chilli rice and salad (healthy eh!) the we watched SITC DVDs - oh how I love Carrie Bradshaw.
