Hakuba GAA Weekend and Reggae Snowsplash

Friday night I made my way to Hakuba with Kat and James to meet everyone from the GAA at the Lady Diana hotel. The guy who runs the place is hilarious and he had a welcome to Japan GAA poster with IRA in brackets at the bottom as well as a Irish flag hanging up.
The first night me, Kat and James went and checked out Tracks bar where the Reggae Snowsplash was taking place - it was a cool bar and we were loving the reggae vibe. Kat also taught me her 'Japan dance' that went down a treat the next night!

Saturday I hit the slopes with Kiren and James and later met up with Alan, Cairon, Paul and Shaun by the afternoon and a few expert runs later me and Kiren decided to find the girls in their lesson when low and behold we stumbled across Pod bar and it just happened to be happy hour. A few vodkas and meat pies later we were feeling quite confident on the slopes and Kiren was so mellow she looked like she was born in the snow!!!

Dinner was quite interesting with the GAA awards and someone put mine and James name down for some novelty awards....most sensitive balls.....nicest person.....ill let you figure out whos who!

The Reggae snowsplash turned out to be a really good night, it was packed in the main bar and the music was brilliant. We started drinking bottles of 'Canabia' just to go along with the mood - im sure it was just cheap larger with a clever label!

Me and Madz managed to get home by a sensible hour but most others came back at around 4.30am and managed to have 4 hours sleep before getting back on the mountain in the morning.

I spent Sunday boarding with Madz and we made our way across Goyru to 47 to watch the lads do some jumps in the park and stop for a beer for lunch.
It was such a good weekend and I got to see some faces from Shanghai again too.
