Friday night I went down to Kats place in Asashina for the first time. She has a real house and its so nice - even has a built in alarm in the form of next doors cockerels!
Saturday morning me, Kat, Madz, James headed to Sugadaira for a bit more snowboarding action. Sugadaira is kind of between Nagano and Ueda, the mountain was quite small but good for beginners and practising. James was the nominated instructor for the day and everyone managed to improve - and Madz cracked it!
This is the bike Im thinking would be handy for getting to school!
I told you girls, these J-boy snowboarders are hot!
My Mum keeps asking for pictures of me 'doing it'......so this ones for you mum!
Saturday night I went round Kirens place to catch up with her and hear all about her job in Tokyo. It all sounds so exciting and really tempts me to head for the city, but then I remember how easy my life is here in inaka!
Sunday I met up with Atsuko in Nagano. We went to The Hungry Caterpillar for lunch and to plan our trip to Cebu in the Philippines! We are going for a week, not a cultural discovery type trip, just a week on the beach, white sand, sea and cocktails, can't wait.
I'm hoping to plan it well enough to arrive back in Japan the night before Inga and Ronnie arrives so we can then spend a couple of days in Tokyo before I bring them to Nagano. The next couple of months are going to be so busy. Its not long until Ali and Lou come, then before I know it Inga will be here, then it will almost be summer time again (I hope - snow is nice an all but being cold all the time is wearing thin!).
