Nozawa Onsen this time!

James took his turn to organise a weekend snowboarding at Nozawa Onsen. It was the first time that we had been there - and we loved it! The mountain was beautiful and not as busy as Hakuba. We stayed in a lodge right next to the lifts which was also very cool. The lodge was fully booked so we had to have the rooms in the basement that usually comprise the TV room and the helpers bedroom so we were a little packed in but was nice all the same.
Saturday night involved a fair bit of vino and karaoke but the best part of the evening was having a snowball fight and stealing a snow shovel to use as a sledge on the way home! Usually were so cold we don't even want to touch the snow but I think it was a measure of how much we had drank that we were rolling around in it in the middle of the night!
Back at the lodge the J-Group was in full party action so we joined in with them and got people up performing a dance from their country.....Irish, Scottish, Japanese and even Nepalese!

Kat and Madz are becoming pros!
Karaoke mayhem!

It didn't feel so funny Sunday morning though and everyone was quite quiet for the best part of the day. I did however brave trying a jump in the ski park! It was only a littley but still, the only way is up right!
Me doing the baby jump!

We finished another brilliant weekend with dinner in Nagano thanks to the Yamanashi boys being kind enough to take me home.
