The third grade students at Nishi had their graduation ceremony on Saturday. It is a formal ceremony to collect their certificates and say goodbye to the school and teachers. All the students made such an effort to dress in beautiful kimono and suits.
The main ceremony was held in the school gym and was quite formal, when that finished the students went back to their homeroom to collect certificates and have a smaller ceremony with their homeroom teacher. Me and Jay joined one of the classes and it was quite emotional to see the teacher saying goodbye to a class they have taken care of for 3 years.
With the ceremonies finished the students head to the courtyard of the school to say congratulations to each other and relax and take pictures. Although it meant I had to work on a Saturday it was so nice to see the students final day and how proud they looked to be graduating from Nishi.
