Islands, beaches hotels and sweat!

With a sudden change in weather from Typhoon to sun Kiren, Anna and me headed off to Sarushima Island for a spot sun bathing and historical education. After a trek across the island and through the tunnels from the war, we found a nice little rocky area to sun bathe facing out to the sea for the rest of the afternoon, away from the madding crowds on the beach.
On the ferry over

Saturday night we managed to resist the urge to go out (also thinking I need to lay low to get back some anonymity) and settled instead for curry and rugby at NK Mansion Ikebukuro.
Sunday morning I met Tomoko bright and early at Shinjuku for our journey to Enoshima. We arrived at the beach town and started with a 2 hour run through the temples and beaches before heading for an onsen and lunch. Enoshima is a surfers beach just over 1 hour from Tokyo. I was quite jealous to see them all bobbing around in the sea on their boards even though the surf was quite flat!
Back in Tokyo we checked in to the hotel in Akasaka, had a walk around the Japanese garden and after an exhausting day, we sent our selves to sleep watching a movie, eating sushi and drinking Chu-hi.....J-Bliss!
